LoVe
"Because I love you that is why I hit you" they will make us believe we deserved it.
They will make us think we are worthless, some will even go so far to say,
"If you love me you will never leave" when they are just insecure and cowardly.
Though we have the glimmering hope that they will never do or say anything to degrade us again.
"Because I love you, you will cover those bruises and pretend like nothing is wrong"
We smile on the outside although the pain from their words and their fists hurt but on the inside....
On the inside there is a cry for help but because you love them or are just too afraid
Cries for help are not heard they are pacified by our fear or our naive view on love.
Love is not pain.
Love is beautiful, love is kind, love is even confusing
Though it should never hurt us mentally or physically
It is not love for a man, woman, teenage girl or boy to put you down or make you feel as if you are no one
Pain is not love and if they really loved you they would never do those things.
