For the Love of...

Why is it that everytime something goes wrong, i apologise?

Because I love you, I always make myself be in the wrong

Because I love you, I am the one that seems to get bothered

When we argue, it's as if you feel relief from me not being there

I make a distasteful joke and I get a "bye",

You make a distatseful joke and I still laugh

Because I love you, I still love the bland humour you have

Because I love you, I feel heartbroken when you leave so nonchalantly

Because I love you, I try to make you a goal

Because I love you, I try to see all the good that can come from you

Yes, you tell me to keep trying my hardest

Yes, you thank me for being there sometimes

Yes, you tell me how funny I am

But you never said "I love you"

Because I love you, I still wait for the day you say it

Because I love you, I took it slow

When you told me that I was your friend and not an associate

This made me feel just one step closer to the love I wanted

Because I love you, I accept whoever makes you happy

But it's because I love you, that I wouldn't be happy

To me, you were the reason the sea hits the shore

You were the reason the stars love to burst

You were the reason the moon feels jealous

The universe loves your bright smile like I love your honest laugh

For the love of me, I don't know why I can't find wrong in you
