Is This Love?

Coming home tired,

Missing assignment,

Getting mad,

Talking back,

Getting smacked,

Why did you hit me?

Because I love you.

At school working,

Get a call on the phone,

"I'm not picking you two up"

Why can't you?

You made me mad.

Grow up. This is

Because I love you

Grows up.

Old enough to understand when things are bad,

Notices that his parents are sad,

What's wrong?

Come with me.

In the car 20 minutes later,

"We're divorcing,

we decided two months ago"

Why didn't you tell us?

You should have noticed. This is

Because we love you

Two months later,

"I can't wait until you two leave the house.

Just you wait until you get into the real world"

Tempted to leave. Wanting to leave.

But I can't. We can't. You need us. And,

It's because we love you.

ALIM THE ENDER

I'm writing a book called Ashcrete City about super heroes. I can't focus on one thing, but I was forced to for most of my life. Still can't focus, but now my mind is always overeactive.
