Love
I sit alone and wonder,
why I'm too weak to change,
why someone who surrounds me,
can make me feel this pain
I'm no longer the person,
I used to think I was,
the remnant of a shadow,
of a strong and vibrant girl
He was everything I wanted,
someone to fill the void,
but now I've gotten in too deep,
the surface is out of reach
I wanted to be happy,
to feel so loving and so free,
but this toxic relationship has taken over me
My desires only matter,
when they match what his are,
every argument we have just leaves another scar
I wanted someone who was perfect,
someone who would never cause me pain,
someone who wouldn't mind me changing my last name
A partner should support,
your each and every goals,
to know what brings you happiness is all they crave
Next time I look in the mirror,
I'll no longer see a weak view,
I'm doing whats best for us,
because I love you
