Love
What is love?
This mysterious term is something you won’t want to let go of.
Does this person remind you what butterflies feel like?
No, but when we are apart, everything is ghostlike.
It’s not something you find or don’t find.
You literally walk into a relationship blind.
Wishing you could read his mind,
And hoping he’s falling for you, like you are with him.
He’s on your mind all night.
Your thoughts and mind are filling up and going over the brim.
Your heart stops at his very sight.
He’s actually interested in how your day was,
You can suddenly sleep at night.
Not because you’re tired, but because…
The demons aren’t around to cause you fright.
He calls you beautiful, even at your worst.
Your world is starting to fill with color.
I don’t want to jump in head-first…
Suddenly, he’s all you think about.
Please don’t run out.
Wait, what is this term you speak of?
You’re the one for me, without a doubt.
Am I in love?
Yes, you’re something I absolutely can’t let go of.
