love is

Love is not breaking your heart

to mend his.

Love is not letting yourself bleed out

for him to feel stronger.

Love is not dying every day

to the prospect the he is superior.

Love is not watching yourself deteriorate

while you see him become more of a man.

Love is equality.

Love is support.

Love is taking the brokennes that you felt

and watching yourself become whole again.

Love is never having to wonder

if you are actually safe.

Love needs not to be sexualized;

you are not required to give yourself away.

Love needs not to be questioned;

you should have undeniable certainty.

Love needs not to be seen as a request;

it is a fundamental human need.

We all deserve love.

Pure, soulful, caring love.

A love that calls us to rewrite the world,

so that everyone can see it with the same beauty

and exquisiteness as we do.
