love
"because i love you", said and said,
a familiar term i've come to dread.
this thing that's said is an excuse,
for violence, tears, pain and misuse.
he hit me (hard), and pushed me down
and took away my princess crown
and all for what? this pretense of 'love'
he rains down on me from above
this love, it hurts
it is the worst,
it pains me more than words can say
i want it not,
it needs to go,
and hurt me not another day
i realize now, this love was fake
a mask to cover up the hate.
so, no, i won't need this love.
i'll take my chances somewhere else.
