To love

Its saturday
A lazy day
A who cares what you do because youre you kind of day
and He's there
Beside you
flipping through the channels back and forth while youre curled up at his side
And suddenly a dinging
A dinging ringing cellphone chimes
It's yours and he reaches, grabs it, takes it
and sets it
gently in your hand because its yours
Unassumedly
because he loves you
He trusts you.

Its monday
Youre curled up in your blankets and its warm
The sun is slowly rising
and he's there
shaking you gently with the smell of coffee wafting through the air because he knows
Theres no getting you up and out the door without it
You roll over, its to early and you tell him you dont want to
You can make up your class work tomorrow
Youre skipping.
So he sighs, leaves the room for five more minutes before returning
He comes over and yanks the blankets off but gently
Kisses your forehead and thrusts the mug into your hands and says you need to
Because he loves you
He encourages, empowers, and cheers for you.

Now its Friday
Theres a party at a club and youre invited
He says go on, have fun, and youre delighted
So you call your friends
and then you leave you go youre driving
Arriving
You make your way inside and meet your pals
They brought some others you dont know
How surprising
A few drinks later youre on the floor
Some new guy asking you for more
Youre denying.
persistance drives you to the door
You make a call he'll be there in four
Youre not driving.
He's arriving.
Because he loves you
He's there for you, protecting you
and because you love him too
Youre being safe, and in oppurtunities face youre staying
Committed
Because to love takes two.
