Love

Is it love she hopes
Bruised and hopeless
False promises filling her being
Promises long broken and gone

Is it love he asks
Not a question only women ask
In a closet corner
Scared
Alone
Afraid

Is it love they ask
Their worn hearts too tired to know
What they deserve for love
Before they leave the world too quickly

It is love, we know
Our hearts growing
Full of all we can be with each other
Full yet not filled
Souls enriched with each other
We know
This is good
This is beautiful
This is love
