Love

Who knows why the sun wants to rise?
Not I.
Who knows why the seasons change so fast?
Not I.
Who knows why sand stays in the sea?
Not I.
Who knows why the stars shine at night?
Certainly Not I.
Who knows what love is said to sing?
I.
It sings:
I am Hope
I am Despair
I am sought after everywhere
The ignorance of men destroys me
The tears of women cleave to me
The kiss of death searches for me
My heart like the shifting weather
Always giving unexpected failure
Always finding eternal bliss
Are the rewards you take when believing in me.
