This is Love

What is love?

Love is many things.

It is commitment,

no matter the distance.

It is finding time,

even in the middle of a busy week.

It is watching a comedy film,

although you prefer action.

It is taking on extra work,

so they don’t have to.

It is “I’m proud of you,”

even if they are not proud of themselves.

It is raised eye brows in uncomfortable situations,

silently asking “are you okay?”

It is small smiles from across the room,

encouraging.

It is trying to understand,

even if it doesn’t make much sense.

It is caring about something,

because it is important to them.

It is knowing all the baggage they carry,

and still choosing to stay.

This is love.
