this is love.

love is looking into someone's eyes
and feeling like the luckiest person in the world,
tightly holding someone's hand
and never wanting to let go,
hugging someone close
so like you are one.

love is laughing and singing
during the car ride,
not wanting to grocery shop
with anyone else,
thanking God every single day
for placing this person in your life.

love is the constant warm, happy feeling,
like bundling up in blankets
on a cold, rainy day.
the best feeling
of taking the first bite
of a crisp apple.

Love is putting your other
before yourself,
when their happiness
is more important than your own,
when all you want to see
is their smile
and hear their laughter.

this is love.
