Love is...
Love is not talking about your amazing day to help your partner deal with their awful day
Love is taking a peaceful walk through the autumn trees
Love is the occasional huge fight, sincere apology, and make-up ice cream sundaes
Love is laughing ourselves silly while on mini-golf dates because we both suck a mini-golf
Love is teaching your partner how to make hommade cookies, failing the first time
because we used the wrong recipe, and then making awesome cookies with the right recipe
afterwards
Love is buying your partner a pizza and tons of water, bringing it to their house when they get sick
and spending the afternoon with them
Love is accepting your partner's quirks, like their obssession with Game of Thrones
Love can be a lot of crazy, beautiful things
But what isn't love
Love is not supposed to lower your self esteem,
make you feel worthless or ashamed
Love is not neglecting your own needs to please your partner,
it has to be a two way street
Love is not manipulation or lust
And love is NEVER violence, mental, emotional, or physical
Because "I love you" is a gift, not a drug
