Love
Love is honestly still something I am trying to figure out.
My family was torn apart from divorce at a young age,
and every guy I think I may have a chance with, somehow disappoints me.
Love, I know is something that you will never let go of.
Right now for me, love is staying up until 4 am to make sure your friend makes it home okay,
and staying up till the dawn helping your friend after a broken heart.
Love is singing a lullaby to a newborn baby to help it calm down.
Even for an indecisive person like myself, love will make up my mind.
Love is not going in a career based off of money, but doing it hoping one day you’ll shape a child’s life like a teacher shaped yours.
Love is for everyone, all ages, sizes, genders, and races.
Love is always around, even when you can’t feel it.
It’s something everyone seeks, but not everyone gets on the first try.
Like me, I know one day it will come,
But when it does, like everyone always says, I’m sure it’ll be worth the wait.
