Love?

Love

He gave me

Bruises

He betrayed me with

How can it be that

Love means pain

It is false that

True love exists

And I am but a puppet

He is the controller

I refuse to believe

Love is equal

He's the one

Because he loves me

So it's okay

That he makes me feel afraid

I don't feel

Like my own person

He makes me feel

As if love may be a lie

His actions are not intended

To match his words and

He represents how

Love is cruel

And it's a lie that

Love is patient, love is kind

As the story goes

Two people who fall in love and

Happily ever after follows

On a broken heart

A band-aid rests

At the end of the day

Love is a trap

And you'll never hear it said that

Love is wonderful

(Now re-read the poem backwards starting from the bottom)
