Is this the love

I wonder what you miss the most

Is this the love envied by others to boast?

But no one’s opinion really matters in this affair

It’s your heart alone that bears a hand to my care

I wonder if childhood dreams depicted all that I am

Or if the passion given was more like a lamb

Too weak to meet your needs as a woman

And something sought out in another man

I wonder the meaning behind every word you’ve said

With so much time it leaves me restless in bed

Unable to get out of my own mind

This has me driven into a bind

I wonder way too much you might say

Yet there isn’t much for me to do throughout the day

So I wonder and wonder

Till’ my slumber takes me under
