Love?

He said he loved me His convincing eyes His huge smile They were just beggeing me to believe him And I did I loved him too He was kind, caring, and very attractive I mean whats not to love But little did I know That truthful, loving people Are not this kind and caring all the time They have an angry side One thats supposed to show It proves they're being themselves But him, he didn't I couldn't see through his lies They fooled me He'd come home in a nice suit One that I had never seen before He'd tell me that his friend gave it to him And me, I believed him He'd come home smelling of expensive perfume One that I do not own He'd tell me he was at the store looking for a perfume to buy me And me, I believed him He'd come home in messy clothes with messed up hair A look I'd never seen He'd tell me that he went on a run And me, I believed him He'd come home with lipstick on his face A color that i'd never worn He'd tell me that his friends put it there And me, I realized how ridiculous that was I put it all together The man with the pleading eyes, the huge smile, and the kind soul He was a pathological liar I had discovered the truth He had another girl It was the only explanation for the the suit, the perfume, lipstick, and the messed up outfit I finally told him what I though But apparently liars don't like being exposed He got angry, really angry The look in his eyes It was one i'd never seen before One that i'd never want to see again It showed hatred, anger and realization He screamed at me But his words, his insults Felt like heaven compared to his eyes They expressed more than words ever could My whole body trembled in fear Then, it stopped, my courage roared I screamed back But bullies don't like being bullied He started small One punch to the face But one punch was all it took It knocked me to the ground It bruised my face It showed the hatred this man had towards me But then it got worse He kept on screaming until His phone rang He saw it His eyes conformed into a look of love The same look he used to give me He answered "Hey babe... So I'm a little busy at the moment. But ill see you soon.... Love you. bye" He said that he loved her But the weak bruised me, Didn't know when to shut up "You dont love her" He told me her more than he ever loved me And with that he picked up the lamp and he threw it at me, the weak, scared, innocent girl on the ground The lampshade went flying The glass shattered, cutting into my skin, making me bleed Then he left He never loved me His eyes just hid all of the anger and the hatred, The suit, the perfume, the lipstick, and the messed up outfit should have made it clear But him, he took advantage of my love I was in a vulnerable state And he broke what was already bruised and cracked He broke me with a simple 4 letter word..... Love
