Love
It’s been all over ancient history,
Yet it’s still an astounding mystery.
Call it a curse, a treacherous monstrosity.
Even science can’t explain it’s tenacious witchery.
Find it and feel romantic victory.
And sadly, even ruthless misery.
It’s a journey, a heart-warming odyssey.
Something that fills us with harmless electricity.
Let it be known that it may be evocatively risky.
There’s no room to be egocentric and lazy.
It may cause the feeling of unbearable pain,
And make anyone go unfortunately insane.
Some treat it like a sophisticated game,
Some use it just for scandalous fame.
Expect it to mess with the imperturbable brain,
Like drinking too much irresistible champagne.
Like the falling of ear-splittingly heavy rain,
It can drift us into an eternally dark drain.
It’s chaotic ways make it impossible to tame.
With it, nothing is ever the same.
