love

(ah yes, a word so simple and yet so powerful.... it is so powerful that wars have been fought such as Helen of Troy. So simple every intelligent creature cab experience. so elusive some feel they can never find it. so obvious, it fills the air. and for poets; one of the most written about topics there is....)

***

It never happens, and yet it does

It seems so elusive, and yet it covers the world

It feelso good, and yet it hurts

It makes the body feel alive, and yet so much wants to kill the feeling

~

From a distance the wildflower looks so sweet, and yet up close the smell is  sometimes bitter.

Inside wants to come outside while outside it needs to come in.

And why does ther body and mind change?

~

Is love a mystery to be solved?

A paradox?

Fantasy?

Hormones and chemicals?

~

If you try and find an answer as to why, then you mights as well try to explain why birds fly

or

a fish chose to live in water while a worm burrows into soil.

~

Love exists because, it is.
