There are no words that can hold the weight of what I feel for you.

I love everything about you. 

I would do anything to make you feel safe and loved.

If being away from me feels safer, then I will step back.

I will walk away so you never feel vulnerable.

I will walk away so you can find your peace.

I will make myself unseen,

So you never feel the weight of my longing,

So you never feel guilty for not meeting my heart where it longs to be.

You should be free. Happy. Safe. Loved.

If I cannot give you that, what good is this love I carry?

I will give you all the space in the world, my love.

I will carry this ache quietly in my heart,

and I will wait, knowing you may never look at me.

For I cannot love another the way I have loved you.

Never again will I lay my heart bare like this.

My mind and my senses hold you.

Your eyes, your face, your warmth, your scent, your touch,

etched into every part of me.

That will have to be enough.

I cannot be greedy in love.

I cannot ask for more, knowing it may hurt you to let me see you.
