In Love

From the moment I laid my eyes on him,
I knew he was the one.
The one from my dreams,
The one I've been waiting my whole life for,
The one that completes me.
He's the Prince Charming
In my Cinderella story,
The one who will take me away from the troubles,
The one who will make me forget myself,
Taking me into his world.
Some say life is not a fairytale,
But
I think mine is.
To have the person you always desired,
To be with the person that understands you,
To be his soulmate forever and ever,
If that's not a fairytale, then what is?
People say dreams are just dreams, they don't last.
However, mine is lasting, I know for a fact
He will be by my side,
Even when my skin becomes wrinkled,
When my hair turns white and teeth fall out.
I've never felt this much adrenaline in my life
I've never felt this deep desire bubbling up inside me, as I'm about to explode
I've never thought that I would be so freely
In love.

Living in New York City, you wouldn't expect many kids to be a lover of poetry or writing. I like writing even though I don't get much time for it. My writing skills aren't that perfect but I hope on improving. Most poems I do write aren't things I have actually experienced in life, they're fictional. Some are true moments in my life.
