Love
By Jordan Wanlass
…Can be friendly, be intimate or be true
…Is giving, sharing or even spending time
…Is sacrifice, is waiting, is patient, is forgiving
…Holds no grudges, only finds perfection
…Is always blind, but can see the whole picture
…Is selfless, but may be completely selfish
…Forsaken by many, fully embraced by few
…Is true, is honest, is faithful, is respect
…Can be understanding, yet is rarely understood
…Increases as expressed, decreases as forged
…Is said very often, yet seldom ever meant
…Creates boundaries or walls to protect itself
…Can be multiplied and sometimes divided
…Is usually red, but occasionally shows all its colors
…Can be genuine, worth its weight in gold
…Is a prized possession, yet is frequently left behind
…Needs attention, but takes care of itself
...Is pain when lost, utter bliss when found
…Can break hearts or mend them once again
…Finds no fault, although it takes all the blame
…Can be used for gain, yet no one gains from using it
…Doesn’t hold back, give in or give up
…Can decrease or fade without diligence
…Can be confusing, but always ends up definite
…Can inspire, uplift, or amplify attitudes
“Tis better to have loved and lost, than to never have loved it all.”
I say losing love will always help us encounter the same or another
