To Love

Never has the word confidence been written on my body,

Or in my mind.

We beat ourselves up

For not being that image,

The image society expects from us all,

Buf if they expect the same from all,

How can we be ourselves?

I stare  in the mirror,

Searching for something to admire,

Over

And over

And over

I'm about to give up,

But when I stare a little closer,

A ray of sunlight reflects off the chocolate brown shimmer.

Beauty was stricken within

I see now.

I see the hidden beauty,

The beauty in the eyes,

My eyes,

The dark shades

Hitting the light,

Creates a type of magic like no other.

I've learned

If you fall in love with someones eyes,

You fall in love forever.

Your body can change,

And your hair,

And your skin,

But the eyes,

Are almost immortal,

The beauty of the eye,

My eye,

Is eternal.
