love

When your heart holds pressure with melancholic thoughts,

think of that person that has kept you up

Not the one who has kept you tied up in knots;

but the one that with you would hold up a champagne cup

You need one that would love you for you, and your flaws,

do not pay attention to those

that would restrain you with laws;

all they would do is your life foreclose

Ideal love was back in Spenser’s period,

do not lose yourself with obsessive, institutional love

And, if you are to find one full of greatness...but hideous

Do not quit on them; not everyone is born a beautiful dove

Love indeed but do not settle for the unknown

As life has shown that that will only make you feel alone
