Love
I once spoke of my envy and hate
for those in a blissful state.
But I only felt fright
that they may see past my disguise of black and white.
I was an imposter
kneeling at the altar,
hoping Leviticus
was born of man’s wickedness.
But here on earth
my sin came from birth,
and it is because of my sinful kiss
the blissful say we will fall into the dark abys.
If I slip I expose my cold and naked soul
which the blissful fear because all they have is a vacant hole.
But at the end of the day
it is I may way will betray.
I can no longer convey
this lie because I am truly gay
I know in my heart I am free
so I will love whomever I please,
because in the end my divinity
is left to the Holy Trinity.
I wrote this rhyme
so that every time
I feel myself begin to slip
I have something onto which I can grip
and drag myself out of this haze,
to find a beautiful fate on which I can gaze.
I may be young,
but I still have this song on my tongue
and ready in my heart,
so now my brilliant future can finally start!
