Love

You've heard it said by and by,

That love is all you need.

I'm here to say without a doubt in my mind,

That this is true for me.

For love is what keeps us pulled together,

Love keeps us happy and sane.

Love keeps us safe from harsh weather

From being washed away in the rain.

Love cannot be carried, some might say,

You cannot simply bring love.

Love is not something you can weigh,

Or something you can let go of.

But love is much more than a physical thing,

It cannot be contained by matter,

Far better than something you could simply bring,

More satisfying than food on a platter.

So find something that makes your heart race,

Or someone that you can't live without,

Something that brightens your face,

And love until your time is out.
