Love Is Action

If you love someone

Start by proving it

Don't just say it just to say it

You'll just have to do it

Love is not to be played with

It's not a sport

You can't just throw it around

Or treat it like a last resort

Love is an action word

It speaks for itself

Not like a book

To collect dust on the self

Start with respect

Kindness and truth

Practice on yourself

Before teaching it to the youth

Love lies

Within a fleshy heart

And that was something

I've learned from the start
