Love from afar

Love.

The four letter word of many,

And yet, the most amazing word to others.

Love

Love is not giving.

Love only takes.

Love is not fair.

How can I look at someone with love, and yet

they never notice me

How can I look at her, with those brown eyes

with her perfect smile

with a great mind

and not love her?

This is not healthy for me.

I must show her compassion

Yet, respect is needed.

We need to talk.

We look at each other differently, and yet

We are the same.

As I sit with you in the park

At the mall

At home

Or anywhere

As I look at you in the eyes and ask me

Why?

I’ll tell you
