Love again

My heart burns when I'm alone Emotions grow stiff like a stone. I look out at a sea of tethered hearts Wishing to experience the more intimate parts. The holding of ones hands or the softness of your lips Bodies hugged close with my hands at your hips. The whispers of secrets using just a smile Laughing late nights after being away awhile. The gentleness of ones breath when you fall asleep on my chest Running my hand through your hair while you rest. Ahh I wish I were in love or at least knew the feeling These days I only fall for depression with my anxiety through the ceiling. But truly I'm too afraid of being hurt again So I've vowed to no longer let anyone in. When people start to get to close I seem to run and go ghost. Broken is the heart within I wish I could learn to love again.
