Love Always

I wish you were here,

I long for your touch,

All I can do is shed bitter tears.

We were so young, filled with such innocence,

How we simply held hands,

And gave each other hugs.

I've imagined you here with me thousands of times.

You've been in my dreams night after night.

I've seen our wedding, our children, and our life.

I see you preaching,

Traveling the country serving the Lord,

With our children and me by your side,

Devoted and faithful forever I would be.

However, none of this was in the cards for you and me.

Though we were written in the stars,

Destined to be,

Until death tore you away from me.

So for now, you are my beloved hero.

We love one another from afar,

Across the universe,

Through the portals of the sacred realms.

Our love stands the test of time,

Defeating the boundaries,

Of death, hell, and the grave.

You love me from those golden shores.

So wait for me by those eternal doors,

And I'll meet you on heaven's bright shores,

To live there forevermore.
