Love and Fear, Though and Feel

Location

When you are around

My brain stops functioning

And my heart starts rapidly pumping

My perception of time slows down

But I can't think, only feel

Some say love isn't real

Some say love is an illusion

Claim its an adaptation in evolution

But theories remain disprovable

So when our intelligence evolves

And we forget about our gods

We'll discover that theories are movable

And see what's fashionably suitable

So I wish I had you in my arms

Clearing up all of your previous sobs

To prove my love for you

And blissfully believe our love to be true

Smell the scent in your beautiful curly hair

Leave the universe with you, and not care

Because when our eyes first met

I felt both love and fear

Love of the present, fear of how it'll end

Break, cheat, or die. Still worth a try
