Love and Fire

Several people have told me

To find someone to hold me

Through the fires, flames, pains ,and gains

Of everyday life

However,

I have yet to find another

Who not only will hold me, but will also love me

For I have gone with another

But instead of helping me she smothered

Not only the fires and flames around me,

But also the fires inside of me

So I decided I would rather sunder

Than spend any more time with this other

Who would rather see me shrivel than bloom

For those who do not appreciate the passions of their other

Are doomed to forever wander

Alone
