Love and Hate

 I love to love and hate to hate

I love long nights and short days

I hate early mornings and restless legs

I hate public speaking and powdered eggs

I think in this world there’s too much hate

I think to get rid of it love is all it takes

I think it’s worth fixing something if it breaks

I think life is really real and we focus too much on what’s fake

I learned that life should be lived

I learned that love is what you get when you give

I learned to forgive and forget

I wish I knew what I knew now, that love gets love, and hate gets regret
