Love and Thorns

When I met you,

I knew I had fallen in love

For dear God,

I knew he sent you to be my one and only

As we became closer,

You gave me cuddles and hugs

You took care of me

And that was all I needed

But after a few years,

You changed

You became enraged,

You were always drinking

And never came home

After that night,

I blame myself

For all those fights

I want to leave,

But I am trapped between my mind and heart

I have made mistakes,

And so have you

We talked it out,

And we pulled through

Because I love you,

And you loved me,

This is my everything,

You are my everything
