Love and War

When you learn to love you learn to fight

A war that to you does not belong

When you learn to love you learn to fight

For the love that never seems to last long

When you learn to love you learn to fight

The love that seemed so surreal

Then you realize its time to take off the heavy armor

That surrounds the heart and allows it to feel

When you learn to love you learn to fight

Para el que cree que es su amor

The enemy of tu corazón

When you learn to love you learn to fight

The inclinations of your heart, no matter how strong

And whisper to you heart "only to me you belong"

For when you learned to love and you learned to fight

And you took down that armor allowing feelings to catch on

You were blind to see that the one you loved

Pierced through it a hundred times or more

But when you learned to love and learned to fight

Little did you know

You were helping the one you exposed your heart to

Rip it even more.

So never learn to love or to fight

as you only fight what you learned to love

But let the feeling of love approach you

For if the feeling stays then in your heart it truly belongs.
