Love comes

Love does not come

like the Whoosh of a train

Like the swift progress

Of a scheduled plane.

Love does not announce

That it has come

Does not come shake hands

With everyone.

But rather love comes

In like the tide.

Timid like a child

Fearing a chide.

Love sneaks in

on little cat feet.

You don’t know he’s there

‘till he’s taken your seat.

Love comes, but

Often won’t show

You may care for someone

More than you know.
