Love Conquers All

Darling love, my dearest amor,

You caught my eye when you walked in the door

Of 8th grade band practice many years ago,

But there’s more to you than good looks, I now know.

You are intelligent, witty, and comical also,

But what’s greatest about you is the love you show

Not only to me, but to your friends and family as well.

Loving others is something at which you excel.

People are not perfect, which can make loving hard,

And broken love often leaves hearts scarred.

But no matter how human love may fail and fall,

God’s love is perfect, and His love conquers all.
