To Love a Dead Man
What's more powerful than death?
Love, that's what.
It fills us up with happiness with just a glance from the one you love
A cocktail of happiness, hopes, and a futuristic view
The man of my dreams, everything I've ever wanted,
His laughter crackling like a campfire,
warm and beautiful, all at once.
His eyes, as deep and blue as the ocean, gold specks in his eyes
reminding me of the rays of sun that graced his skin
Because I love you,
that was always his reasoning
His eyes no longer matched the ocean, the sun never shined on him,
he's gaze was as cool as steel, the sun covered whenever he passes by the window,
our window
He was no longer a lively man, or alive at that
He was distant, cold, and different
The red marks were no longer from kisses,
instead they reined from his fists
Where's the man I use to know?
He's nothing more than a dead man.
What's more powerful than death?
