A Love, Deferred

Tue, 04/28/2015 - 23:31 -- Comet02

Love is not a word that should be taken lightly

It hurts, It slashes, it cripples, it destroys.

Love is not a feeling that should be ignored,

It smoulders and festers when you pretend that it’s gone.

Love is not something that can be shared.

You say you love me, but you also love him?

Love is the pinnacle of a spectrum, not a spectrum in itself,

If you can love him “more”, you don’t love me at all.

Love is not love if you can just give it up,

If I have to convince you that you love me, you don’t.

Love is real, love is timeless,

There is no “first love”, there is one.

Love defibrillates.

It shocks and compresses until all capacity to it is cannibalized by it.

Love is not a word that should be taken lightly.
