LOVE DOES NOT REPEL THE PAST
Love does not repel the past
Love does not repel the past
only the pain of memories does
You are so far away from me
how could you let this be?
You invite my soul into what you know
your put your strong arms around me
you tell me all that you want us to be
Oh, how can this be?
Every time I think about you
my soul becomes so darken,
my body feels so cold all alone
I learn so much from you...
I learn what life of darkness is all about,
Paris is a place you hide into dreams
you love to make my heart scream
I weep whenever September comes around,
I dream of the city lights of that cold September night,
It was September the seventieth
you had taken me home deep into that night
you had given me so much fright,
To taken over my life
you even told me I will one day be your wife
and that is when I cried,
Oh I still see you staring back into my eyes
like if it's starting all over again,
I dwell in a homeless state were love is so fake
I feel so lost and confused about you,
I remember that night you were stalking me in the park
it was late at night while the fog was setting in,
You had me on the phone telling me how you miss me
you were so jealous of everyone that came around me,
you are so crazy,
you tell me things that keep eating away at my soul
you are so cold, this everyone knows.
year are rolls around
that painful memory remains with me
You shut me out of what love really is
you made me feel I missed out on a life of paradises,
you let me see life isn't very nice,
The September is perfumed in the fog of your lies,
I know you're there out watching me
I just cannot see you but I feel you
I'm just out of your reach
but I am always on your mind,
You will always remember
how the lights kissed upon on our skin
why we were making love in your silver truck,
I know deep within the back of your mind
you wish you were still making dreams with me.
