Love Doesn't Die?

Some people say if it was true love

It would last

All the good times

Wouldn't be put in the past

It wouldn't be put in storage

Simply because

You couldn't destroy it

But this led me

To begin to wonder

Why my heart

Feels like lightning and thunder

 Why do I continue

To let myself be told lies

No more tears to be shed

Just dried eyes

I couldn't do this no more

No more stress

I'm out the door

I look back and think

Was this real love or a joke

You took my heart

Along with my hope

You took my heart

But not my pride

I think that's the only reason

Why I'm still alive

I still think about the

Good times

You know

When you were mine

 And yes you were

Mighty fine

But you came  with

All this baggage and lies

I thought you were the one

But you're just like

All the other guys

But let me get back

On topic

You know the one

That we started this off with

Does love die?

Is it just my pride?

Am I tired of lies?

This is my choice

To decide

But I haven't decided yet

Clearly God has plans

I'm not finish yet

He allowed me

More time with you

You know you and me

 Just us two

To talk about our future

And our past

I pray to God

That this love last

Okay my heart

Is not broken

I get that

It was just

A minor setback

So with that being said

Love never dies

Even when you feel that you gave your all

And you feel that it's time
