Love Doesn't Live Here
Love does not live here
And yet
It is all I know
And all I need
When I am with
The ones whom
My heart loves
I feel as if
It may never be fuller
Than it is
In that moment
When I am with
The ones whom
My soul loves
Whose laughter echos
In my dreams
And whose warm embrace
Lingers in my cells
Long after we part
I feel as if
I need no more
In this world
Than them
I can feel the love
Cling to my bones
And I can feel it
Tangled in my hair
Every minute
Of my day
And every second
Of my hour
This feeling
Does not come
From the soil,
The trees
Or the sun
It does not come
From the breeze.
It is from somewhere
We have never been
Love does not live here-
Love does not live here
And yet
It is all I know
And all I need
