LOVE DRUG
Love for you is like a drug,
In which you get addicted.
Once again you’ve lost control,
This should have been predicted.
This gnawing, aching, dependency,
You’ve lost your mind indeed.
The craving has consumed your thoughts,
Which intensifies your need,
In such messy useless waste,
You’re broken down in shame.
And the roller coaster called your life,
Is a silly childhood game.
And everytime you lose control.
The hole you dig is deep.
Lost inside a filthy trap,
From which resentment seep.
It’s time to open up your eyes,
And take a look around.
Begin to stand up for yourself,
And walk on solid ground.
There are those of us who love you,
And we care about your heart.
These people you just throw away,
And it tears their lives apart.
But my love for you is withstanding,
A soul whom you can trust.
To help hold you up with dignity,
For I’m made of more than lust.
The anger that you cast my way,
Proves our past ignites you still.
The hurt and sadness felt inside,
You belittle with all your will.
Forgive me for my ignorance,
Before now I could not see.
And to share my love was impossible,
It was barely enough for me.
Now I possess a different view,
On my life, on love, on goals.
And the love that I feel within,
For it lingers within our souls.
Find your way you’re ever so close,
And shine your beauty within.
Start living your life with integrity,
Never let hate and bitterness win.
