Love is empowerment

Love is empowerment

She tells me she loves me

and she says she isn’t the only one

She tells me I matter

and she says not just to her

She tells me I am special

and she declares she is not the only one who thinks it

She tells me I am the moon

and she says she is not the only one who admires me

She tells me I am beautiful

and she claims she is not the only one who notices

She tells me she will support me

and she says she is not the only one who has my back

I tell her she is desirable

and that I am not the only one who thinks so

I tell her that she is important to me

and that I am not the only one who cherishes her

I tell her that she brings me joy

and I reassure her that she brings happiness to many others

I tell her she is courageous

and that I know I am not the only who admires her bravery

I tell her that her art work is moving

and I say to her that many others are inspired by her creations too

I tell her without her my life would be different

and I remind her that my life is not the only one that she has touched

A healthy relationship is not about depending on one person

it is about empowering each other
