Love is evil

Love is evil, so they say

A treacherous game we dare not play

It lures us in with whispers of sweets

But leaves us broken, incomplete

Like a serpent's venom, it seeps within

Filling us with ecstasy and sin

Devouring our souls, piece by piece

Leaving behind a trail of grief

In the darkness, it wields its power

Turning hearts into fragile flowers

With promises it cannot keep

Love's deception runs dark and deep

It plays with our emotions, like a puppeteer

Manipulating us with love and fear

Leaving us lost in its wicked game

As it revels in our tears of shame

But amidst the darkness, a flicker of light

Love can ignite

The passion and desire we yearn to feel

With a love that's true, and oh so real

For love is not solely wicked and cruel

It can mend hearts, making them whole

It's a double-edged sword, yes, it's true

But in love's embrace, we find something new

So while love may have its sinister side

It can also bring us joy and pride

For in the balance of darkness and light

Love can guide us through the darkest nights
