Love is Forever

Once in a lifetime was our love,

Never did you fail to tell me how you felt,

The good and the bad,

It was all part of who you were,

Never did the thought come that you did not love me,

Not until the day you said, “Because I Love you, you cannot see me like this.”

I was young,

My mind could not grasp the thought of your life ending,

I was in constant conflict with my emotions,

My emotions were like waves formed in the deepest of waters,

Love and hurt rushed through my body like a current,

While anger crashed down on dry land,

A dry land where you no longer exist,

Not until today did I understand why I could not come to you in your lasts hours,

Not for the sickness that took you from me,
