Love is a Game

We were young and in love

We were a fiery passion

You were just playing a game

You just weren’t that into me

I was strung along like a dog

I was stupidly in love with you

She obviously still had your heart

She obviously wasn’t my friend, but yours

You never saw me as more than a secret

A toy to be played with

Well, I guess that means you won

Because you broke me

Now I’m sitting here in the shadows

Watching you move onto your next mistake

She’ll be the next toy for you

She’ll be gone at the end of the week

Love is a game that I played

With my heart and not my brain

Now I’m alone and in pieces

Guess he could play better than me

Love is a game but it is a part of me
