For the Love of the Game

So quivers my heart in joy and delight

To raise the gold trophy in sweet valedictory

It took my complete strength, and tireless might

To appetite my quench for victory

Determined, I vow to never give up

As the leader and captain of the team

We’ll be drinking from the champion’s cup

We’ll reach the finish line; tis all our dream

No one can comprehend my love for the game

I’m driven by the thrill of the win

I don’t play for the appreciation or fame

I play, for it leaves me with a grin

My drive and love for the sport is unreal

My volleyball career has been absolutely surreal
