Love is like a Garden-gnome
Love is like a garden-gnome
oh how they both remind me of home
it seems it can never be known how much love is like a garden gnome
but wait! it all lies within the dome
the dome also known as home
home and love and garden gnomes
love and garden gnomes are both cuddly and cute
both of them play again in your head like a flute
how they both seem minute
until they ring and ring and ring
and from the little gnomes mouth it springs
and grows to be like a choir of singing
then once again flow down to form just the thing
the thing that makes us feel warm and flush
oh the rush and the gush and the tiny little thrush
that spreads it wings to fly around the garden gnome
then it soars back home
but not without the garden gnome
or at least the little stone
than makes up the garden gnomes little nose
the nose that blows and shows
the seeds of the precious rose
the rose named love
which springs with the precious dove
watching in love
the love that makes the gnome’s grove
like the small cove
in the heart of the little stove
that boils and cooks the emotions of the brain
and turns it into grain
ready to refrain
ready to remain
ready to gain
the gnome’s little ceramic stain
ready to feel the pain and the sprain
of the lovers broken heart
and begins to start.
to push that little cart
the little cart full of little garden gnomes
that are traveling to the homes of the little children
the little million children that feel the love
of the garden gnome
love is like a garden gnome
