Love is when she never gave up on me,

Especially when I gave up on myself.

Love is when she was the light in my life,

Especially when things got tough.

Even if it was late.

Love is when she kept my worries at bay,

Even if I was crushed with all this weight.

Love are the moments when we stuck together,

Yet if the world called our love a sin,

Love would help us get out of the weather.

Where we show our true colors.

Love tells us that we are human beings that stand,

Where no matter what they say— we’ll never get smaller.

Even if our world doesn’t agree with us and our love,

She will always tell me to get the clue,

That she will still be my flying dove.

Where I care for my one and only.

It’s where she changed my life and made me whole,

And made me realize that maybe, this love is holy.
